Graffiti 2's Good and Bad points
As a long time graffiti user, I was surprised to find a new version of graffiti on my Kyocera 7135 Palm-Phone. I actually had to go through the tutorial to learn how to use it even though I never had to with the original version. First the good points. Having the recogition area divided into three zones instead of the previous two is mostly good (if it were physically marked I probably would not need the tutorial). The left is for lower case letters, the center for upper case letter and the right for numbers and math symbols. The biggest downside is that spaces do not seem to be available on the number zone, so entering a phone number with spaces requires switching between the left and right zones.
My biggest complaint is that some of the most common letters now require 2 strokes, such as T and i, as well as less common letters such as K. I have found it impossible to issue a command-T (ie. / followed by a T). Perhaps you will have better luck. U's and Q's are also a little more difficult. Maybe I should have been a doctor.
