Sync, Manage Palm Photos with a Mac

SplashData's image application, SplashPhoto ($30), for the Palm OS and Windows is now compatible with Macintosh computers.

Like with the Windows version, SplashPhoto 4.0 includes a desktop catalog feature with two-way synchronization, offering a way for users to manage photos on a Macintosh and their PDA.

Users organize image collections into personalized categories and, upon synchronization, the images are arranged accordingly on their PDA or smartphone. There is no limit to the number of personalized categories that users can create.

In addition, SplashPhoto enables users to crop images on the desktop, then format and compress them for viewing on a handheld’s screen. According to SplashData, it attempted to meet the expectations of Macintosh users with this release, "we have put a lot of effort into developing SplashPhoto Desktop for Mac with a user-interface similar to iPhoto...,” said John Chaffee, president of SplashData.
