Bitstream has released the alpha version of its ThunderHawk handheld browser for smartphones and cell phones. ThunderHawk is among the best browsers available for the Pocket PC.

ThunderHawk SmartPhone Edition uses a server infrastructure combined with a small piece of client code on the smartphone. The server converts Web content into a compact format and sends it to the client. The company claims this makes fast and full-featured wireless Web browsing possible even wit

h the wireless industry’s current slow data speeds.
