Danger's hiptop device will soon be available in Europe for the first time through a partnership with German-based telecommunications carrier E-Plus.

The hiptop device, available as the Sidekick in the United States from T-Mobile, integrates a mobile phone with a Web browser, email, AOL Instant Messenger, an organizer, games and other features. It has 65,000 color, 2.6-inch and 240 x 160 pixel display with a full QWERTZ (German) keyboard for data entry.

E-Plus plans to offer an unlimited use data plan that will enable customers to use the email, Internet and instant messaging features without per megabyte monthly charges. In Europe, the E-Plus hiptop device will retail for €249 (approximately $290 US). Initial flat rate service pricing will start at 19.95 Euros/month.
