Mobile developer Sendia's Wireless Salesforce Automation (SFA) solution for palmOne's Treo 600 and Treo 650 smartphones has been certified by salesforce.com for the ASP's sforce on-demand platform.

The sforce on-demand platform lets third-party developers customize, integrate, and extend salesforce.com with custom CRM solutions. Other sforce members include IBM, BEA, Borland, Microsoft.

Wireless SFA from Sendia extends salesforce.com's customer relationship management (CRM) application to wireless-enabled handheld devices (Treo & RIM BlackBerry), making the information accessible and editable from the field.

According to salesforce.com, the certification of Sendia's Wirless SFA for Treo is a unique example of its efforts to provide its 11,000 customers with ways to maximize their accounts. Mobilizing its solutions is also a part of its continuing vision for its place in the CRM/SFA space.

Salesforce.com Senior VP & GM for sforce Peter Gassner says "Sendia is the only sforce Certified Partner to offer salesforce.com on the Treo 600, giving salesforce.com users an effective alternative when it comes to accessing and editing their customer CRM data from the field. "

Laura Fay, Sendia VP of Product Development, adds "Being the only sforce Partner with a Treo solution is a major advantage for us. By giving salesforce.com customers the option of choosing the Treo smartphones, we've greatly broadened our market appeal and expanded our base of potential users."
