Troubles with 600
I purchased my Treo 600 a little over a year ago with Cingular service. The device, although having some wonderful features, tends to be very unreliable. I am now on my 4th unit! I cannot seem to get one to last more that 6 months or less. I do admit that the service at Palm One has been wonderful and has always sent me a replacement unit. However, the most recent (4th) replacement appears to be a refurb and is already showing signs of failure (screen dimming; quirks with the synch slot; uncontrollable beeping noises when plugging in the charger.) I truly want to believe in the unit as I need something like this for my occupation (i.e. cell phone and PDA combined.) But, quality seems an issue. I can only hope that the 650 fares better. Also, there should be a trade in program for those with 600's that want to trade up to a 650. These things are not cheap. Why make us pay full retail for the upgraded model??? Guess I'll have to wait until 2005 to check one out with Cingular as they are not ready yet.

Treo 650 , Sprint and rebate
As a treo 600 owner I am sad that I can not get a rebate from Sprint until I have been with them for 18 months.
Many treo 600 owners have not yet had their treo 600's for a year yet. I got a friend of mine to purchase a 650.
I would have also purchased one if I could get a rebate.
It would be nice if we could get the rebate from Sprint after 12 months. I am sure some other owners of treo 600's feel the same way. Woody@ http://www.oldlouisville.com.
