Treo Agenda for Agendus

Veteran handheld software provider iambic this week updated its personal information manager for Palm platform PDAs and smartphones, Agendus Professional, to version 9.

New features include an improved To Do management system, allowing, for the first time, a Palm OS device to integrate a 'Importance/Urgency' matrix to help set priorities. iambic CEO Vidal Graupera enthused, “We’ve done some very exciting things with this release, especially in the areas of productivity enhancement where managing To Do’s may have been cumbersome in the past.”

Smartphones
Acknowledging that many Palm OS devices—particularly palmOne's popular Treo smartphones—offer the ability to connect wirelessly, Agendus 9 introduces an over-the-air (OTA) feature to access weather information for any contact’s geographical location in your address book.

Other new handset-centric features include call handling, which automatically pops up during incoming calls to let the user schedule meetings, send e-mails, create To Dos, etc. right away. Calls are also logged into Agendus’ contact history tracker. A meeting mode converts a user’s smartphone to “silent mode” when a scheduled meeting begins, and automatically returns the phone back to its normal ring-tone when the meeting is scheduled to end.

With a Treo-specific photo picker, you can control the Treo camera hardware directly from within Agendus. As a result, you can shoot pictures and associate them with contacts, meetings, memos or To Do’s on the fly.

Agendus Professional sells for $39.95
