Hooked in Kentucky
The first thing I grab in the morning is my Treo 600, Check my E-mail, the news, then I get a beep and there has been an accident notification warning me about traffic delays. Then I continue to get all of the news of the day. Soon I get a phone call telling me to have a nice day. I sometimes ask myself. What would life be like without my treo? "I do not want to think about it" ! Woody @ http://www.oldlouisville.com.

Treo 600 is excellent
I really, really, like my Treo 600 and I am hard to please. The integration and syncing of my Outlook database and the ease of finding contact phone numbers and then dialing is awesome. I love checking my email and responding when i have to. I use Earthlink's high spam blocking to completely eliminate spam so that my Treo only retrieves valid email. The Treo has room for improvement but most of the reviews are correct when they say that the integration of Palm 5 OS PDA and Phone is well done. I use Sprint and am happy. I bought a 3rd party app for 29 - PDAnet - which allows me to connect my laptop to the internet and get 145k speed and inbound email. The camera is fun. Speakerphone is good. The speed dials and favorites are great. A great total package and lots of software to choose from. One thing it doesn't have which makes me nuts is it can't record phone calls or memo's. A stupid mistake considering it has an SD Card slot for lots of memory. Should be fixed soon. A huge step in the right direction. Good size, weight. I use it as a flashlight at night. IMHO you won't be unhappy. If it could record voice, if i could add bluetooth and GPS, i would be totally in love. It has helped my business by keeping me more in touch. Making appointments in the Palm OS and then syncing to Outlook is fantastic. Lots more features to talk about but too little time. Buy the Treo if you need email and want the Palm 5 OS and make a lot of calls.

Treo 600+ATT useless
Any reviewer who gave the treo 600 a good review should be fired. As a pda it functions well, as a phone it is truely useless. I purchased two--based on all the rave reviews--both are unusable as phones unless you like to hear a loud humming as opposed the people you call; oh, and the person you are calling gets to hear the loud humming noice too. My wife is on her second unit now--no better than the first. At&t refuses to refund us for these useless phones, and is charging $175 for the termination fees for each phone. If you have one and you're in your fist 30 days then my advise is to return it, because after 30 days this phone becomes useless.

Lesson learnt--I'll never trust a reviewer again or purchase the magazines that gave this phone rave reviews.

treo 600
I switched from the Samsung 500 pda/phone to the treo 600. Wow, what a difference. I liked the Samsung because it was small and the clamshell design. With the treo 600 I got a camera, a newer version of palm, more memory, MP3 capable, a memory card slot for more memory, I can dial directly from my address book without having to memorize the number just by tapping the number, it's faster when browsing the internet, I can check my emails on my AOL account (had to download AOL for Palm version 3.2 for $20, but well worth it). You give up graffiti for a keyboard, but man is it worth it!

Very VERY satisfied.
I have upgraded from an Ericsson T68i (yeuch!) and a Palm M500. Switch over was as painless as it could be, everything worked first time and I have had no problems. The Treo 600 is everything I need and more. I have installed 'Graffiti anywhere' as the only drawback to the keyboard only data entry is the rather cumbersome approach to acessing shortcuts (which I use a lot). Phone performance is exceptional on Orange network in UK, and they are currently doing excellent deals. I have also installed 'Kinoma, and purchased Kinoma producer which enables you to convert your home movies and QT movies to a format the Treo will understand, then it's down to the pub to impress the h*ll out of your mates. I also use the Treo to access my home email account, again, set up was simple and foolproof. A high res screen would be usefull but the current one is perfectly adequate for my needs. Overall, I am very happy with my purchace.....If only I could stop playing with it I could get the rest of my work done.......
