By James Miller
Blue Nomad has upgraded its popular Palm OS backup solution, BackupBuddy, to version 2.0. The new edition, as described by Blue Nomad, takes a huge step forward in mobile backup and data protection.
BackupBuddy 2.0 is the first product available that allows users to store all changes made to their handheld or smartphone since the last backup in a database on their PC. Because BackupBuddy now contains a complete history of any given device's files and settings, users can remarkably restore individual files or their entire device to any previous point in time with the simple click of a button, a process called ZoomBack. BackupBuddy 2.0 should be available at the end of the first quarter for $29.95. Those who purchased the current version of BackupBuddy for Windows after 1/10/04 are eligible for a free upgrade to version 2.0. BackupBuddy 2.0 also contains a license for BackupBuddyVFS:Lite, which allows users to backup their handhelds to a Memory Stick, Secure Digital or MultiMediaCard expansion media. Related Links:
