NeoSpeech software developer's kit helps developers add Text-to-Speech to their applications.

NeoSpeech has released a software developer's kit (SDK) for enabling speech recognition in Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices.

According to the company, the SDK enables developers to create Text-to-Speech -enabled applications for small handheld devices, including mobile phones, smart phones and PDAs. Possible speech-enabled mobile applications include name and number confirmation for voice-activated dialing and voice output for location-based navigation systems.

"By extending our offering of advanced Text-to-Speech to compact devices, we are providing a framework for developers to create Text-to-Speech-enabled applications for mobile services," said Yoon Kim, CEO of NeoSpeech. "Our hope is that by supporting multiple platforms and devices for mobile computing, users will be able to develop as many applications as possible in the mobile world."
