jay
exactly know what it's like to know precisely what type of smartphone I need as a college student something to help me connect to my classes and to substitute my home phone. The Asus MyPal A8100 Windows Mobile Smartphone.

Sounded like it would break out but nothing and probably not going to be for quite a while.

What I need is clear only it isn't invented yet!

how frustrating is this and here I thought hardware was always waiting for software upgrades but in this case it is quite the opposite there is yet to be a normal sized windows mobile 2003 se smartphone w/ a 480 x 640 screen!

Excited about what Exactly?
I continue to be amazed at the simplistic analyses which appear on web sites such as your and trade magazines. Why should anyone be excited about the possible that products which have not yet been invented, maybe sometime in the future to solve problems that exist now? And if "Browsing can be a chore on a pocket device" what is all this about smart phones replacing PDA to do all things including browsing web pages. Isn't this a contradiction.

Most of your articles and Microsoft's emphasis, is on the gadgetry value of technology. MP3 files, video, etc. Some of us one PDA's to do real work and replace bulky note books. VGA resolution is important now, today. Perhaps the gadgeteers are excited, but I certainly am not until some machines appear on the scene with this OS upgrade which enhance my ability to use Project Management, Word Processing, Spreadsheet (real, useful)software.

Until then, there is nothing to be excited about!!
