By PDAStreet.com Staff Boingo recently announced new Palm OS and Windows Mobile version of Pocket Boingo, its Wi-Fi network access client for handhelds. Pocket Boingo aims to provide users with easier connections to private Wi-Fi networks at home and at the office, as well as Boingo's Roaming System, a worldwide network of more than 8,500 hot spots. Pocket Boingo does this by sniffing out the networks. The company said it also includes advanced profile and security management for connections to preferred networks. Pocket Boingo for Windows Mobile 2003 is available now, while a version supporting palmOne's Tungsten C should be available later this summer. Versions of Pocket Boingo for other Palm OS-based devices are currently in development. Pocket Boingo is a free download from the Boingo website. Of course, you need to pay if you want to access the Internet via Boingo's Hot Spot network. Currently, the company charges $21.95 per month for the first twelve months after sign-up. After which, the price jumps to $39.95 per month. You can also connect to Boingo's network via $7.95 per day without a monthly subscription. Related Links:
