WorldMate Turns Pro for Sony Ericsson Smartphones

Earlier this year, MobiMate ported its WordMate travel application over to Series 60-based Symbian mobile handsets. These include Nokia's 7650, 3650, 3620, 6620, & N-Gage, as well as Siemens' SX1, the Sendo's X, among other smartphones. The previous Fall, the company brought it to UIQ-based Symbian devices, such as the Sony Ericsson P800 and P900. Now, the company is bringing the Professional Edition of the software to UIQ smartphones.

Previously only available for the Pocket PC and Palm platforms, the Professional Edition of WorldMate is a considerable upgrade over the Standard Edition. According to the company, the Professional Edition, which is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Swedish, delivers worldwide flight schedules with comprehensive up-to-date information supplied by OAG.

OAG is a provider of travel information since 1929, and its flight schedule service includes all published direct and connecting flights worldwide from over 800 airlines, featuring Dynamic Connections -- identifying the 50 fastest connections to your destination.
