Those familiar with the Palm platform know iambic as a developer of quality software, especially with Agendus Professional—one of the best third-party personal information managers for the Palm operating system.

With wireless e-mail all the rage, iambic this week extended the capabilities of its Agendus line of applications to mobile e-mail. As with most other wireless e-mail solutions, Agendus Mail ($39.95) provides POP, IMAP and SMTP protocol support, and lets users send and receive messages through direct access to a mail server.

Unlike other Palm-based e-mail applications, such as palmOne's VersaMail and Snapperfish's SnapperMail, Agendus Mail integrates with Agendus Professional. This lets you pull Agendus Professional contact information, such as e-mail addresses and names, directly into Agendus Mail without opening its sister software.

Users of Agendus Mail can also wirelessly sync messages with their desktop e-mail application, retrieve messages at timed intervals, as well as send and receive SMS messages and attachments in their native formats.
