EXCELLENT 8125
The Cingular 8125 is by far better then the treo 650. I love it, an excellent phone, on the road, work and at home. The wi-fi is an excellent feature. It is as fast as my Apple Powerbook wireless connection. I do also sync with my mac omputer. I have gone throw lots of cell phones, the Cingular 8125 is my favorite. Excellent phone guys.

8125 emails
i bought an 8125 and it works fine can do text messaging but NOT EMAILS> i use att worldnet as my isp on my desktop. the singular people tell me that ATT has built in a firewall into the 8125 so that if you use worldnet at your ISP you cannot use your worldnet email address to send and receive emails. does anyone out there know how to get around this, iwould appreciate any responses. thanks tomc.

All is now good, after a rocky start
In response to an earlier comment, my 8125 came with a second stylus "just in case." I bought mine at a Cingular store, and had no success setting up an internet or e-mail connection. I took it back to the store where one of the salesmen had figured out that the batch at the store had been shipped with incorrect settings, thus making connections impossible. With no help from HTC or Cingular (indeed, Cingular technical support was not able to figure out the problem when I called), salesman James figured out the problem and the correct settings. All works well now. Kudos to James at Potomac Yards.

Love it
This phone has been great so far. I wish it were faster - going from my 400MHz PDA to this 200MHz PDA with less memory is sometimes hard to handle. If you need a mini laptop disgused as a phone - this phone could be for you.

I've only had a week and the only complaints so far are:

1. the battery life seems shorter than expected with moderate use

2. It's a bit heavy but not bad

If it were faster on the internet and lighter, it would be unreal.

No Replacment Stylus at this time (4-10-06)
My stylus went missing, and Cingular does not sell them, HTC does not sell them, and I have not been able to find an exact replacement on any 3rd party websites. Support at Cingular referred me to support at HTC (the manufacturer). The tech at HTC said that they don't sell retail, and that he doesn't show the part either. He suggested I buy one for the Qtec or K-jam and then sand down the nub at the back end to make it fit. Is Cingular under the impression that none of these styli will never get misplaced?

Other than this, I love the phone. It includes software to dial by voice, including over a bluetooth headset, but you do need to record voice tags for it to work.
