It seems like device manufacturers should be keeping an eye on what consumers really want - to stay connected to everyone, all the time.iPhone was the first company to really understand this and they are getting a surge of support from people who have purchased the device. It is such an extraordinary user experience that people cannot help but to tell everyone how much they love their phone.
Remember - when they launched, everyone either used a Treo or a Blackberry. The treo is a brick and the blackberry was....well...all black (and white).
At zhiing, we were in development of our wireless application that would allow people to change the way they give directions. Our application invites people to send a text message to a friend and we bundle the hanset's location with that message. When the friend opens the message, they hit the "navigate" button and are given the directions.
We scrapped our entire code base when the developer kit was released for the iphone. Having google maps on board was a major mobile breakthrough. Let me know if you want a tour of zhiing or check out our site at http://www.zhiing.com
