Rumor: Official BlackBerry Storm Launch Date Revealed

We've got some more BlackBerry Storm news for you today, courtesy of the Internet rumor mill. The first BlackBerry with a touch screen won't ship on November 17th, as expected. Rather, Verizon Wireless will roll out the Storm a week later on November 24th, according to info leaked to the Boy Genus Report.

Verizon plans to hold pre-launch events a few days earlier, on November 20th, at 123 corporate stores. These events won't be open to the public, as they’re invite only. Demo units will be on hand to play with and folks will be able to pre-order the Storm if they so choose.

The report adds that the Storm will go for $199.99 with a two-year contract and there should be plenty on hand. Also, On the 24th and the next day, Verizon will open stores an hour early.
