Samsung Instinct Users Gain Access to Corporate Calendars

Samsung Instinct users can now access their Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino calendars, Sprint - the exclusive carrier of the smartphone - announced today. The carrier worked with mobile messaging provider SEVEN to add calendaring support to its Mobile Email Work service, which already delivered access to corporate e-mail and contacts.

The new calendar feature allows Instinct users to view and update their work calendar, create and delete appointments, and accept or decline meetings. All changes made on the Sprint phone are automatically synchronized with the user's desktop calendar.

Sprint's new corporate calendar feature will be provided as a software update to those who've already signed up for the Mobile Email Work service.

Those who are new to Sprint Mobile Email and want to activate the service can do so directly through the email menu —no software download is required. Once email is activated, they'll be prompted to accept the upgrade to enable corporate calendar access.

Mobile Email Work is included at no additional charge for Instinct users.

Sprint plans to extend corporate calendar synch to additional non-PDA phones in the future.
