Kingston has just launched an 8GB microSDHC card ($58). That's 8GB of storage packed into a memory card smaller in size than the fingernail on your pinky. The new card can store more than 1,500 digital songs, over 4,000 images from a 5 megapixel phone, or up to eight hours of The tiny - .43 x 0.59 x 0.039-inch ( 11 x 15 x 1.0-millimeter) microSDHC format has emerged as the predominant mobile memory standard, as more and more manufacturers, including HTC, LG, Motorola, Nokia, RIM, and Samsung integrate it into their cell phones and smartphones. Recent models tested with the new Kingston 8GB microSDHC card include the BlackBerry Pearl 8120; the LG evV2 and Voyager; as well as the Samsung BlackJack II and Glyde.
Keep in mind, although the microSDHC format is identical in physical size to the original microSD card, microSDHC is compatible with microSDHC host devices only and not backward compatible with standard microSD-enabled devices or readers.
