Asus P527, Verizon Palm Treo 700wx Get Windows Mobile 6.1
Over the last few weeks, a number of vendors have made the call to deliver Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrades available for their Microsoft-run smartphones. The latest to join the fray are the P527 from Asus and the Verizon Wireless edition of the aging Treo 700wx. In addition to Windows Mobile 6.1, the Asus upgrade - available here - offers other improvements, including enhanced multimedia playback. As for the upgrade for the Treo 700wx, it delivers the same fixes as previous firmware updates in addition to the platform upgrade.
