The tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) BlackBerry 7730 features a large, bright, 16-bit (65,536) color screen, supports worldwide international roaming on GSM/GPRS networks and delivers email, phone, SMS, browser and organizer applications.
As with all BlackBerries, the BlackBerry 7730 delivers cradle-free wireless email synchronization via RIM's push architecture, which mean new email is waiting for you on your device rather than you needing to request that it be pulled down. Email attachment viewing enables users to read email attachments from their BlackBerry, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, WordPerfect, and ASCII files. It also supports Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino email accounts for enterprises.
Other specifications include 16 MB flash memory plus 2 MB SRAM, a rechargeable/removable lithium battery and USB connectivity. The BlackBerry 7730 is larger than SFR's current offering, the BlackBerry 7230, which has the same amount of memory. It also has a bigger screen. This means the BlackBerry 7230 will be able to display four rows of application icons to the earlier Blackberry’s three rows.
The newer model also gets slightly different battery life with five hours talk and nine days standby time compared to the BlackBerry 7230's four hours of talk and ten days standby time.
